The Book of Zern - The Eighth Chapter
January 5, 2009
1. Now in the thirtieth year of the reign of the YaYa Queen, Sherwood the Mighty Hunter, he did yet dwell in the land somewhat Southward, even Saint Cloud, a land between two great waters. Now Sherwood the Mighty Hunter and his tribe did increase and prosper. And they were called the Zern-ites of Saint Cloud, and there were numbered among them even a new fiancée, one T. J. Lorence of Titusville, and two new grandchildren of the rising generation—even one Kipling Sherwood and one Sadie JoLee. And Sherwood the Mighty Hunter did rejoice over his tribe and his flocks.
2. Yet Sherwood did suffer much in this selfsame year when the air conditioning unit did ceaseth, and the downdraft Jenn-Aire stove did give up the ghost causing much in replacement costs, and he was troubled somewhat by the loss of his hard earned lucre. But he did repent in that selfsame year and did think to rejoice in the efficiency of the newness of the new air conditioning unit, which did bloweth much cold air for less lucre. 3. Yea, it was made known to all that Aric, even the eldest son of the tribe, did go forth for the third time, even now as a Staff Sergeant, to contendeth against the wicked and the cruel in defense of the thankful people of Iraq. And Aric, even Aric the Strong, did report that the war has been won even to the establishing of a free country in the ancient land of Babylon, and he doth go forth shaking many grateful hands among the free people of Iraq, and he did request much in the way of snack foods and hygiene supplies.
4. In this selfsame year, Heather the Gracious did bring forth her second born son and third born child and did call his name Kipling Sherwood, which did please Sherwood the Mighty Hunter greatly. And Kipling did suckleth much and did become a large and mighty baby, while his sister, Zoe, did turn of the fifth year and did learn to read, and his brother, Conner, did challenge their YaYa with much subtle deviltry.
5. Maren the Bold did reside somewhat with her sister and brother-in-law, even Phillip the Wise-Cracker, waiting for her marriage to one T. J. of Titusville in the Temple of our God, even the Orlando temple, and Maren did rejoice in her good fortune and Phillip did rejoice in the return of his spare bedroom in the coming new year.
6. For Behold, Adam the Good and Sarah the Beautiful did bring forth a daughter and did call her name Sadie JoLee. This child, along with Emma the first child, and one cat named Sergeant Pepper did keep Adam and Sarah frequently busy. And Emma did oft tell of Sergeant Pepper when he poopeth on the rug, making her mother, even Sarah—sooooo mad, and Emma did balleth her fists up and shaketh in perfect imitation of her mother’s distress, and YaYa did laugh much, each and every time the tale was told.
7. And I, even myself, did keep the record of our tribe making many things known on my website, even and on Facebook, and I, even the YaYa, did attend college and did laugh much at the silly foolishness of the antics of mankind, which did include our tribe, and I did observe much and make note of the comings and goings and did writeth much in the way of our people, and thus endeth the thirtieth year of the reign of the YaYa Queen.
